Ian runs Sea Kayak Exmouth alongside Budleigh Paddle Sports. On any given day he can be found canoeing, climbing, caving, walking, biking... and the list goes on. He is multi-skilled and can turn his hand to anything if given the opportunity.
Ian is particularly well qualified in Climbing and Paddlesport. He holds his Mountain Instructor Award and various high level Canoe and Kayak Coaching awards.
His cool calm approach to leading groups is legendary and he has inspired many young people coming into the outdoor industry.
Ian has a family and lives in Budleigh Salterton. He takes his son out with him on lots of adventures and literally shows him the ropes!
Moss has been actively coaching and leading a diverse range of groups in the outdoors for around 27 years. He has a host of outdoor skills and qualifications that he has applied to almost every outdoor environment around the world.
He is a British Canoeing Coach Trainer and Assessor and has instructing qualifications in a variety of activity areas such as Sailing, Powerboating, Mountain Biking and Climbing.
Alongside his own passion for the outdoors Moss is also a qualified lecturer in outdoor leadership and safety working with Further Education colleges in Devon and Cornwall.
He has set up a number of commercial enterprises aimed at encouraging children to be more active and involved in the outdoors.
Moss and his family live on the edge of Dartmoor and he works part time at Bicton College in East Budleigh where he coordinates all the outdoor and sporting activities for students.
Katie is qualified as an outdoor instructor and has been working in Cornwall and Devon instructing children in a range of adventurous activities. She has been instructing groups in Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Surfing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding to name just a few.
Katie spends most of her time out walking and exploring new places as well as bouldering and trad climbing whenever she gets the opportunity. Katie also loves swimming and spends a lot of time in both the pool and sea.
Katie hopes that her cool, fun and enthusiastic approach to instructing and teaching outdoor activities will help encourage younger people to get more involved with the outdoors.
Working with Budleigh Paddle Sports is a great step in developing her knowledge of the outdoor industry and customer service. Katie will be down on the beach helping our clients get safely on and off the water and also supporting the business with marketing and day to day logistics.
